Fair warning up front, we are not beach or active watersports people. Please read through the details of the pros and cons to make your own decisions. We had a wonderful stay at the Waves all-inclusive resort & spa in Barbados. Big shout out to housekeeping for their excellent work and patience in waiting for us late risers to leave the room each day! Being from the U.S., we appreciated the 110V American style outlets (no adapters or converters necessary for U.S. The mini bar was stocked daily with soda, beer, water, gin and rum (see cons regarding lack of wine). Black out curtains kept the sun away until we were ready for it. The air conditioning worked flawlessly and was excellent at maintaining temperature. King bed with a sofa and loveseat combo sitting area with lots of space. We had an Ocean View suite that was super clean and comfortable. Positive attitudes, smiles and excellent service were almost always the order of the day. Pros: The staff and management are what stood out the most for us.
In a nutshell, we liked it a lot despite some warts and would recommend it based on the people and the service. If those are important to you, then our opinions in that area may not be the most helpful.
